From spay/neuter surgery to wellness care and community cat programs — professional veterinary services at prices everyone can afford. No proof of income or residency required.
Safe, professional spay and neuter procedures for cats and dogs — performed by our licensed veterinary team using the same general anesthesia used in human medicine. We perform dozens of surgeries daily in our clean, caring clinic environment.
Spaying and neutering is the single most effective way to reduce animal suffering, overpopulation, and unnecessary euthanasia in our communities.
Reduces risk of cancer, infection, and chronic disease
Neutered pets are less likely to roam, fight, or mark
Fixed pets are more focused on their human families
Every surgery prevents dozens of future unwanted births
Our Wellness Clinic provides low-cost preventive care to keep your pet healthy year-round. We believe prevention is the best medicine — and it shouldn't break the bank. Launched in 2010, our wellness program ensures all furry family members have access to basic health services.
Note: Pets Alive does not offer full veterinary services and refers clients to a full-service veterinarian for regular or emergency care. Our goal is to supplement, not replace, comprehensive vet care.
Wellness clinic visits must be scheduled online in advance, just like surgery appointments. Walk-ins are not accepted. Once approved, you'll receive a Wellness Form via email to complete before your visit.
Community cats (also known as feral cats) have been raised in the wild or abandoned and are typically too fearful to be handled. They are at home outdoors and live full, healthy lives with their colonies — but they reproduce rapidly without intervention.
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is the humane, proven solution. We trap community cats, provide spay/neuter and basic healthcare, vaccinate, ear-tip for easy identification, and return them to their colony.
A community cat has been raised in the wild or abandoned and turned to wild ways to survive. They may not be accustomed to contact with people and are typically too fearful to be handled or placed as pets. Community cats are at home outdoors, living in feral colonies. TNR allows them to live out their natural lives without producing more cats.
Our prices are kept intentionally low thanks to the generosity of donors and grant funding. Services are available to everyone — no proof of income or residency required.

Founded after learning nearly 70% of Bloomington shelter animals were euthanized. Over 20 years and 230,000+ surgeries later, we've changed that story.
No proof of income or residency required. Our services are priced so no family has to choose between their finances and their pet's health.
Our licensed vets perform high-volume surgeries daily in a safe, clean environment. Dr. Brunn, Dr. Simerly, and Dr. Graber bring years of expertise and compassion.
We perform dozens of spay/neuter surgeries every day we're open (Mon–Thu), making us one of Indiana's most impactful animal welfare organizations.
We serve residents, rescuers, and shelters from across the entire state of Indiana — not just Bloomington. If you can get here, we can help.
"Absolutely amazing place! The staff was very kind, and they were so gentle with our pup." — Rayna Rose. Trusted by thousands of Indiana families.
